Visual Mineralisation Intersected in North Scamander Exploration Hole

Stellar’s first exploration drillhole testing the North Scamander Base Metals-Tin target, NSD005 was completed on 1st August 2023 to a depth of 733m, with assays pending.

The hole is co-funded by $70,000 Tasmanian Government EDGI grant.

Visual mineralisation intersected by Stellar in hole NDS005 includes:

  • Upper Zn-Pb-Cu Mineralised Vein and Breccia Zone containing sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite, and associated pyrite hosted in massive veins, semi-massive veins, hydrothermal breccia and associated stringer-style veins over a length of 38m from 131m, and a less significant Zn-Pb-Cu zone over a length of 18m from 223m.
Upper Zn-Pb-Cu Mineralised Vein and Breccia Zone – Core from 160.5m
  • Lower Copper-Bearing Stockwork Zone containing pyrrhotite +/- chalcopyrite stockwork veining over a length of 160m from 349m, and a weaker pyrrhotite +/- chalcopyrite stockwork zone of 14m from 564m.
Lower Copper-Bearing Stockwork Zone – Core from 437.4 to 437.6m

A Total of over 212m of visual mineralisation intersected including the upper Zn-Pb-Cu Mineralised Vein and Breccia Zone and the lower Copper-Bearing Stockwork Zone. Both thought to be part of the same large metal rich hydrothermal system related to an underlying granite intrusion.

Chalcopyrite mineralisation intersected interpreted as a possible ‘near-miss’ indicator of a potential tin system, or as the low-grade margins to a copper-dominant system.

The first batch of assay results to 232m is expected by mid-September 2023. The Second batch is expected by late-September 2023.
